About the Role
Join Gather & Gather, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, as an HSE Manager at a prestigious workplace site in London. You will be responsible for delivering health and safety, food safety, and allergen performance indicators, alongside proactive and reactive auditing. Your role will involve operational engagement, coaching, and supporting teams to foster a culture of safety.
You will maintain and implement bespoke HACCP systems aligned with Compass Global CPU standards and oversee the Compass Workplace Safety Management System to ensure consistent operational safety standards. Working closely with managers and key staff, you will drive continuous improvement programs for HSE management through audits, inspections, risk assessments, and training activities from CPU through to site delivery and customer consumption.
Providing competent advice and support to operational teams, you will help them fulfill their HSE responsibilities and support new business retention and mobilisation by implementing effective HSE standards. You will investigate food safety and safety incidents, ensuring proper reporting and implementation of improvements, and liaise with enforcement agencies as required.
Collaboration is key in this role, working with site management teams to maintain and improve safe food systems and safety standards, assisting the Sector Head of QHSE Manager with CPU and delivery sites, and partnering with other health, safety, environmental, and quality professionals to ensure a consistent and effective approach across the company.

Experience
Proven experience in health, safety, and food safety management within a similar operational environment is essential. Experience in delivering audits, incident investigations, and managing HACCP and safety systems is required.

You have the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external enforcement bodies. You are committed to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and food safety compliance.
Qualifications
Relevant health and safety qualifications and certifications related to HACCP, food safety, and workplace safety management are desirable. Professional membership or accreditation in health and safety or quality management would be advantageous.
