About the Role
RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd is seeking a motivated, people-focused HSE professional to join the Rampion Team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a team that prioritises continuous improvement and partnership with operational teams within the renewable energy sector. The HSE Specialist will provide independent, skilled, and professional advice and guidance on all health, safety, and environmental matters to the Rampion Team and its line management. Key responsibilities include supporting the implementation of high standards of continual improvement aligned with the 'We Care' ethos, including behavioural safety, wellbeing, and sustainability initiatives to positively impact team members.
The role involves engaging and developing relationships with operational teams to eliminate and reduce risks, fostering a strong HSE culture, and ensuring adherence to HSE standards and rules. The specialist will liaise with internal and external departments to ensure contractors are suitably selected, engaged, and monitored for health, safety, and environmental performance. Additionally, the role includes producing, reviewing, and updating HSE documentation required by the offshore operations site and Rampion team, contributing to annual key performance indicators, and conducting regular workplace inspections both onshore and offshore.
Planning, running, and recording feedback on emergency response drills is also a key part of the role. The position requires regular offshore work on the Service Operations Vessel, including overnight stays offshore.

Experience
- NEBOSH Certificate
- IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels through verbal and written communication, including active listening skills
- Experience as an HSE professional in Offshore Wind, with good knowledge of offshore wind O&M phase activities such as servicing, work package reviews, lifting operations, environmental factors, and offshore logistics
- Experience of renewable technologies and mechanical, electrical, and technical systems, process engineering, and advising on HSE technical matters
- Experience in behavioural safety techniques and delivering behavioural safety training is advantageous

Qualifications
