About the Role
The Inclusive Recruitment Consultant will support people into employment across the green economy, construction and other growth sectors, working as part of GoodPeople’s recruitment team on Net Zero Careers (netzerocareers.co.uk), its green skills and employment programme. Now in its third year and backed by two major corporate partners, the programme aims to connect employers struggling to recruit with capable candidates who may otherwise face barriers to accessing these opportunities.
You will work with a diverse range of candidates, including career changers, young people, people returning to work and individuals from communities often overlooked by traditional recruitment. Your role will involve identifying suitable opportunities, preparing candidates for employment and supporting them after they start work to help them stay and progress.
Working across the full recruitment cycle, from identifying vacancies to providing post-placement support, you will build relationships with employers, candidates and delivery partners. GoodPeople’s recruitment platform and AI tools will support much of the administration, allowing you to focus on candidate engagement, employer relationships and successful placements.
Main duties include filling vacancies across the green economy and construction sectors, from heat pump and solar SMEs to Tier 1 contractors, while working towards monthly placement targets; sourcing candidates through partners, GoodPeople’s platform, job boards, social media and events; providing CV support and interview coaching; helping employers adopt more inclusive recruitment practices through accessible job advertising, skills-based selection and reasonable adjustments; building relationships with hiring managers to identify vacancies and secure repeat business; supporting candidates after they start work and resolving any early challenges; working with colleges, training providers and community organisations to develop candidate pipelines; maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM records so the team and funders can monitor progress; and representing GoodPeople at job fairs, partner sessions, college visits and employer events.
You will be expected to manage multiple candidates and vacancies at different stages of the recruitment process, maintain strong relationships and consistently work towards placement targets. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct contribution to widening access to good work and supporting the UK's transition to a net zero economy.

About You
You will be a confident, organised and target-driven recruiter who is passionate about inclusion and helping people access meaningful employment.
