About the Role
ADE: Demand is recruiting for a Policy Officer or Manager (maternity cover), with a specialist focus on industrial and non-domestic energy. Industrial decarbonisation is one of the most challenging and exciting areas of the UK’s efforts to address climate change. You will work across the UK’s pioneering efforts to create a new hydrogen network system for industrial clusters, pushing for greater clarity and ambition for industrial sites dispersed outside of those clusters and for a continued focus on industrial energy efficiency through technologies such as Combined Heat and Power. With a focus on industrial energy, you will work with industrial companies, Government and others to secure meaningful changes in policy and regulation that support decarbonisation of British industry. As part of the broader policy team and the wider ADE: Demand team, you will work on diverse projects including original research to support our policy positions and supporting our political and press engagement.

Experience
Good academic qualifications or substantial work experience in the field.

About you
Excellent written and oral presentation skills and ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences. Ability to work well, and independently, in a small team environment.

Qualifications
Knowledge of industrial policy, energy policy, or both is desirable. Experience of working in a public policy environment is also desirable.
