
Location
Greater Manchester (Head Office in Bury) with site visits throughout the UK. The role requires occasional overnight stays nationwide with an overnight allowance covering accommodation, breakfast, and evening meal.

£30,000+ per annum plus bonuses, with scope to increase for the right candidate
About the Role
Japanese Knotweed Solutions Ltd (JKSL) is the UK’s pioneering company dedicated to the eradication of invasive species through a single-species approach. Since 2000, JKSL has led and innovated in this specialist market. We are seeking a motivated Japanese knotweed/non-native invasive plant surveyor to join our team as soon as possible, with training provided to be fully prepared for 2026 and beyond. The start date is flexible and can be immediate if required.
In this role, you will conduct site visits across the UK, working independently or in pairs on larger surveys, with a company survey vehicle provided. Key responsibilities include report writing, producing AutoCAD drawings for surveys, pricing tenders and departmental budgets, following up leads, securing contracts, and assisting the Operations Department and site teams with project delivery.
You will have a sales target and be eligible for the department bonus scheme. JKSL supports your professional development with an individual training budget of £500-£1,000 per year. A company vehicle will be provided for your use.
The successful candidate must be prepared to work away from home at times, staying overnight as required. JKSL offers a stakeholder Pension Scheme for employees.
Experience
Experience within the invasive species or related industry is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Qualifications
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
- Reasonable plant knowledge
- AutoCAD experience is desirable

• Relevant degree
• Property Care Association CSJK qualification
• BASIS qualification
• PA1, PA6, PA6AW and other spraying licenses
• CSCS Card
• Health & Safety training such as IOSH or NEBOSH
