Location
Greater Manchester (Head Office in Bury) with nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays.

Hours
Typically 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Salary
£30,000+ per annum plus bonuses, with scope to increase for the right candidate.

About the Role
Japanese Knotweed Solutions Ltd (JKSL) is the UK’s pioneering company dedicated to the eradication of invasive species using a single-species approach. Established in 2000, JKSL leads the market through innovation and expertise. We are seeking a Japanese Knotweed/Non-native Invasive Plant Surveyor to join our team as soon as possible, with training provided to be fully operational by 2026. The start date is flexible and can be immediate if required.

As part of the Survey Department, your day-to-day responsibilities will include site visits across the UK, working independently or in pairs on larger surveys (a company survey vehicle is provided). You will be involved in report writing, producing AutoCAD drawings for surveys, pricing tenders and departmental budgets, following up on projects and leads to secure contracts, and assisting the Operations Department and site teams with project delivery.

This role includes a sales target and eligibility for a departmental bonus scheme. You will receive an individual training budget of £500-£1,000 per year to support your professional development. A company vehicle will be provided, and overnight allowances cover accommodation and meals when working away from home.

Requirements

Experience
Experience within the invasive species or related industry is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

- Self-motivated, reliable, punctual, and well presented
- Strong communication skills and a positive professional attitude at all times
- Computer literate
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel nationwide and stay overnight when required

Qualifications
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
- Reasonable plant knowledge and AutoCAD experience are desirable
- The following qualifications would be advantageous but are not mandatory:
• Relevant degree
• Property Care Association CSJK qualification
• BASIS qualification
• PA1, PA6, PA6AW and other spraying licenses
• CSCS Card
• Health & Safety training such as IOSH or NEBOSH
