About the Role
Global Canopy is a data-driven not-for-profit organization focused on addressing the market forces that threaten nature. This year, we will be repeating our Forest 500 and Floresta 250 assessments, which evaluate companies and financial institutions influencing global forest-risk commodities and Brazilian cattle supply chains, respectively. We are seeking Language Consultants to provide research support for these assessments. As a consultant, you will work collaboratively with a small team to identify and assess the policies and transparency of companies regarding deforestation. Your responsibilities will include locating and cataloguing relevant policies, translating documents from assigned foreign languages to English, and assisting in the completion of the assessments. All work will be conducted via video calls, and we encourage applicants fluent in multiple languages to indicate this in their application.

Experience
Demonstrated research skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

About you
Must be fluent in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Russian, Japanese. Essential competencies include good teamwork, clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze qualitative data using a methodology. Knowledge of deforestation and supply chains is advantageous.
