About the Role
Schools are integral to our work and vision, with a broad curriculum-linked programme for visiting schools spanning early years, primary, secondary and tertiary education. Our aim is to inspire and develop lifelong connections with the natural world and foster dialogue around the need for sustainable lifestyles. This zero hours Learning Programme Teacher role mainly involves delivering onsite education sessions with themes including plant adaptations, evolution, conservation, ecosystems and more. You will follow set lesson plans to achieve learning outcomes. This permanent post is based at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The role includes a paid training period commencing January 2026. An Enhanced DBS Check is required. Experience
Significant experience teaching in a formal setting or delivering environmental education programmes to pupils across a variety of key stages, from early years to Key Stage 5.
About you
Ability to inspire and engage pupils and teachers with enthusiasm, passion and a friendly manner. Excellent interpersonal skills to work successfully within a team and with external stakeholders. Must have a pre-existing Right to Work in the UK as this role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship.
