About the Role
Lynx to Scotland Engagement Officer (2 posts) – Help assess the feasibility of reintroducing lynx to Scotland. Are you passionate about nature restoration and experienced in working with stakeholders on sensitive issues? Lynx to Scotland is a partnership project assessing the ecological, social, and practical feasibility of reintroducing the Eurasian lynx to the Scottish Highlands. The next phase focuses on consultation with local communities potentially affected by a reintroduction, aiming to understand and assess their perspectives on the proposal. You will help design, deliver, and evaluate key elements of this consultation work. Key responsibilities include advertising and planning consultation logistics; providing information about lynx reintroduction to communities and organisations in person and via printed materials and online; designing and conducting consultation activities such as questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and group discussions; analysing consultation results and producing a technical report on the process and outcomes.
Contract
Full-time fixed term until 7 August 2026.
