About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Operative / Building Maintenance Technician to join a friendly and supportive team responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of a supported housing environment across multiple sites. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks including minor electrical repairs, plumbing, painting, decorating, and carpentry. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure all areas meet health and safety standards, providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. This role requires a proactive, flexible individual who takes pride in varied duties across the supported housing setting.

Experience
- Proven experience of maintenance work in a residential or similar setting
- Experience in roles such as Maintenance Assistant, Facilities Technician, Supported Housing Maintenance Operative, Maintenance Worker, or Handyperson is desirable

- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive approach to Health & Safety and risk assessments
- Flexible, practical, and resourceful approach to work
- Willingness to travel between regional sites when required

Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Electronics or a relevant trade (desirable)
- Holder of a Health and Safety certificate (desirable)
- Knowledge of COSHH and risk management principles (desirable)
- Willingness to undertake further training and development
- This role requires a DBS check
