As Manager - International Sustainability & Social Impact, you will drive strategic alignment, engagement, and programming on sustainability and social impact priorities across Global Functions, Business Segments, and Markets. Reporting to the Director of International Sustainability & Social Impact within the International Operated Markets segment, you will support McDonald's mission to be one of the most respected, trusted, and admired brands globally through responsible growth, elevated brand trust, and meaningful community impact.

This role requires agility and a broad understanding of sustainability and social impact topics. You will collaborate with subject-matter experts to leverage market insights, develop strategy, and deliver internal communications across diverse areas including packaging sustainability, nutrition, community impact, and ESG reporting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to translate complex topics into clear, compelling messages. You will work cross-functionally with teams in Impact, Supply Chain, Restaurant Experience, Marketing, and Finance, applying strategic thinking and project management to advance key initiatives.

Key responsibilities include managing internal communications and engagement with international markets, delivering strategic guidance to embed sustainability priorities into market planning, leading cross-market initiatives responding to legislative requirements, and supporting leadership alignment. You will foster strong relationships with market teams to enhance programming, share best practices, and leverage global data to quantify local impact. Additionally, you will partner with the global ESG reporting team and advise on regional legislative agendas such as CSRD, CS3D, and PPWR.

Requirements

Experience
- Demonstrated experience developing, executing, and communicating sustainability and social impact strategies in corporate or consultancy settings.
- Proven ability to translate goals into actionable initiatives, craft communication materials, develop impact-driving programs, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant or food industry sustainability topics including community impact, nutrition, and human rights.
- Experience understanding legislative trends and planning accordingly.
- Data literacy to analyze, present, and derive insights from sustainability metrics.
- Outstanding presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills to lead multi-market programs and events.

Qualifications
