In this role, you will drive strategic alignment, engagement, and programming on sustainability and social impact priorities across Global Functions, Business Segments, and Markets. Reporting to the Director of International Sustainability & Social Impact within the International Operated Markets segment, you will support McDonald's mission to be one of the most respected, trusted, and admired brands globally through responsible growth, elevated brand trust, and meaningful community impact.
You will partner with subject-matter experts to leverage market insights, develop strategy, and deliver internal communications across diverse topics such as packaging sustainability, nutrition, community impact, and ESG reporting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to translate complex topics into clear, compelling messages. Collaboration across multiple functions including Impact, Supply Chain, Restaurant Experience, Marketing, and Finance is key. Strategic thinking and project management capabilities will enable you to lead initiatives that align with legislative requirements and drive business value while safeguarding McDonald's license to operate.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience developing, executing, and communicating sustainability and social impact strategies in corporate or consultancy environments.
- Proven ability to translate goals into actionable initiatives, craft communication materials, develop impact-driven programs, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant or food industry-related sustainability and social topics.
- Experience understanding legislative trends and planning accordingly.
- Data literacy to analyze and present sustainability and social impact metrics.
- Outstanding presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills to lead multi-market programs and events.
