About the Role
We are seeking a collaborative, strategic thinker with a deep commitment to Britain’s seas to manage the development phase of a new marine recovery project. In this role, you will lead the creation of the project’s ambitious, community-driven delivery phase for seascape-scale marine restoration. This 15-month development phase is led by a partnership of Wildlife Trusts dedicated to restoring the extraordinary marine habitats and species found across Britain’s south coast, from Cornwall to Sussex.
As Marine Recovery Project Development Manager, you will bring together regional partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities and needs for marine recovery in the region. You will manage Coastal Community Engagement Officers, identify and assess relevant supporting data and evidence, and develop a robust, costed plan for the project’s delivery phase that is visionary, viable, and actionable.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with dedicated Wildlife Trust teams and other stakeholders across the south coast to shape a transformational marine programme, driving change across one of Europe’s most ecologically and culturally important coastlines.

Experience
- Proven project development and management skills
- Experience in relationship and stakeholder management
- Ability to collate, analyse and interpret data to inform project planning
- Experience working in marine conservation or related environmental sectors is highly desirable

Qualifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in marine science, environmental management, conservation or related field preferred
