Pro rata to 22.5 hours per week - Regional £28,728 - £30,265, London £31,289 - £32,826 per annum
Full time equivalent - Regional £38,304 - £40,354, London £41,719 - £43,769 per annum

About the Role
Friends of the Earth is the biggest grassroots environmental campaigning community in the world, covering 75 countries with around 5,000 local activist groups and over 2 million members and supporters worldwide. We are seeking a passionate, proactive, and organised marketing and engagement specialist to join us in a busy, visible, and creative role.

This is an exciting time to join as we roll out a new brand programme, strengthen our narrative as a trusted and leading environmental justice organisation, and build on our successes fighting for people and planet. You will be responsible for developing and delivering integrated marketing and communications plans that grow awareness of the Friends of the Earth brand among our target audiences and help us win campaigns by effectively engaging our supporters and grassroots network.

The role involves working closely with other Marketing Officers and reporting to the Marketing & Engagement Manager, while collaborating cross-organisationally with teams such as Production Hub, Content & Creative, Campaigns, and Individual & Major Giving. You will play a critical role in leading strategic projects and embedding engagement at the heart of our campaigns within a high-performing and supportive team environment.

Requirements

Experience
- Delivering integrated digital and offline marketing and strategic communication campaigns
- Managing expectations and needs of multiple stakeholders to deliver excellent results on deadline
- Gathering, analysing, interpreting and applying audience insight from various research types
- Knowledge of audience segmentation models and developing content to engage different audiences for supporter and donor acquisition
- Commissioning creative content from in-house teams and external agencies to develop disruptive and inspirational marketing activations
- Project managing marketing and engagement aspects of end-to-end campaign activities, including budget oversight
- Consulting and sharing subject matter expertise across teams and projects
- Building brand awareness, especially via trusted corporate partnerships
- Maximising campaign impact through communication channels, including traditional media
- Evaluating marketing activations and applying learnings to improve results
