About the Role

Are you a confident and experienced communicator, skilled in dealing with the public and contractors? Enfield Council is seeking an Operational Delivery Manager for the Waste & Recycling Service, offering an exciting opportunity to implement, improve and monitor new and existing waste and recycling operations.
This role offers variety and the chance to use your skills in communication, adaptability, attention to detail, organisation and customer service to great effect. You will be part of a growing team providing a high-quality service, ensuring targets and standards are met while supporting the Head of Waste & Recycling Services in the efficient management and delivery of Waste & Street Cleansing Services for the London Borough of Enfield. You will also support the Strategic Waste and Recycling Manager with the implementation of service changes.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and managerial functions required to deliver a robust and effective front-line service. This includes proactively managing Supervisors directly and front-line staff indirectly, monitoring and delivering customer-focused service outcomes, and ensuring effective health and safety and welfare arrangements at all times. You will ensure employees carry out their duties in compliance with all legal requirements and Council and Service procedures.
Experience
Essential experience in waste management, ideally within front-line operations and managing a large staff complement in a customer-focused environment. Proven ability to manage performance and deliver excellent client and customer service.
Strong knowledge of waste legislation and Microsoft ICT systems including Excel, Word and Outlook.
