About the Role

This role supports the new integrated operating entity formed by bp, North Oil Company (NOC), and North Gas Company (NGC) to manage operations in Kirkuk.

The Operations HSE Advisor will report directly to the KPOD HSE Manager and work closely with the Operations Department to ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld. The role involves monitoring and coaching personnel on HSE matters, leading the implementation and continuous improvement of the KPOD HSE management system, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Responsibilities include providing authoritative HSE advice, leading incident investigations, managing safety observation systems, supporting process safety, developing contractor HSE requirements, and coaching local HSE personnel. The role requires flexibility and willingness to travel to Iraq, with potential for rotational deployment.

Due to the security and medical infrastructure limitations in Northern Iraq, stringent medical and fitness requirements apply, including specific health screenings and BMI restrictions. US citizens are not permitted to travel to Iraq for this role.

bp offers an inclusive culture, excellent work-life balance, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive employee benefits. This role is a hybrid of office and remote working with up to 10% travel expected.
