About the Role
As a Packaging Sustainability Delivery Manager at Co-op, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our packaging sustainability strategy. You will collaborate closely with teams across Sustainability, Commercial, Technical, and New Product Development, as well as external suppliers. Your work will support cost reduction in the packaging supply chain and contribute to our Net Zero goals. You will also manage data reporting for mandatory and voluntary obligations such as EPR, DRS, and support Scope 3 carbon accounting. Your expertise will help drive meaningful change, ensuring Co-op makes a lasting impact for suppliers, communities, and member-owners. Key responsibilities include being a subject matter expert on packaging materials, leading sustainability plans across supplier and internal teams, collaborating cross-functionally on priority projects, engaging with suppliers to monitor and report on sustainability performance, project managing sustainability activities, championing sustainability internally and externally, and representing Co-op at external meetings and conferences such as the UK Plastics Pact.
Experience
- Strong packaging industry experience with wide knowledge of packaging materials
- Experience managing and reporting on a portfolio of packaging initiatives to meet targets
