About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Coastal Engineer to join an expanding Ports & Harbours team, leading the delivery of high-profile projects both in the UK and internationally. This senior role involves overseeing a diverse portfolio including coastal defence schemes, harbour developments, climate resilience assessments, and offshore infrastructure projects. As a senior technical specialist, you will provide direction on design and modelling, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. You will engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to build strong, lasting relationships, support business development activities such as proposal writing and bids, and mentor junior engineers to contribute to team growth and knowledge sharing. Experience
- Extensive experience in coastal and maritime engineering
- Proven track record managing large-scale, complex projects from concept to completion
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and manage project risks
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality technical solutions

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field
