About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Ecologist to provide technical leadership within our consultancy, focusing on delivering and overseeing high quality ecological work. You will work closely with our team of ecologists, mentoring and supporting them to develop their skills whilst maintaining strong technical standards. You will also collaborate with the Business Manager to support the development of the consultancy business by identifying opportunities for growth and implementing procedures to improve efficiency.

The ecological consultancy team plays a vital role in delivering our vision of a wilder Worcestershire where there is more nature everywhere for everyone.

Experience
A minimum of five years professional experience in ecological consultancy.
Proven track record of delivering high quality ecological work and technical leadership.

Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Good time and project management skills.
Wide understanding of ecological issues.
Ability to mentor and support a team of ecologists.
Committed to inclusion and fostering an inclusive working environment.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level in an ecological or environmental subject.
Holder of multiple protected species licences.
Full UK driving licence.
