About the Role
As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple offices, time zones, and geographies. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy EHS programs and initiatives across dispersed locations, focusing on construction safety management and operational data centers. You will drive EHS performance improvements by working closely with Google Data Center partners, general contractors, trades, integrators, EHS counterparts, fabricators, and commissioning agents. Additionally, you will conduct pre-qualification evaluations of potential vendors and clearly communicate EHS expectations to all partners. This role requires a proactive approach to cultivating a strong EHS culture that promotes continuous learning and aligns with Google's organizational strategies and goals.

Responsibilities
- Lead, own, and execute the EHS program for construction projects, including site oversight and data collection.
- Ensure construction contractors meet contractual safety performance expectations and agreement requirements, promptly identifying and resolving issues.
- Advise and assist construction project teams to protect personnel and the environment, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Cultivate an EHS culture that promotes continuous learning and aligns with organizational strategies and goals.
- Collaborate with the wider Construction EHS team to implement best practices consistently, report project progress, analyze safety trends and data, and mitigate risk without compromising Data Center operational capacity or live environment.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program or project management.
- Experience with construction safety management.
- Experience leading construction EHS efforts for multi-site projects across dispersed geographies.
- Experience working in operational data centers with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Understanding of project management processes and basic construction agreement structures.
- Knowledge of safety metrics reporting.
