The Operational Delivery team leads nationwide and regional energy advice and home retrofit programmes across Great Britain. We work with national government, regional combined authorities, and distribution network operators to support households in improving energy efficiency, tackling fuel poverty, and reducing carbon emissions. This is an exciting time to join as we expand our impact, innovate in energy advice and home retrofit, and invest in digital solutions.
As Programme Lead - Advice and Retrofit, you will provide strategic and inspiring leadership across our energy advice and retrofit programmes. You will manage a high-performing team of programme managers and play a key role in shaping the future of our advice and retrofit services. Working closely with senior leaders and external partners, you will ensure the successful delivery and continual improvement of programmes worth around £5 million annually.
Your leadership will help deliver world-class customer experience, nurture new partnerships, and ensure high-quality end-to-end solutions for customers seeking to improve their homes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the advice and retrofit delivery team, providing clear direction, coaching, and support
- Ensuring exceptional customer experience and programme delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects
- Overseeing budgets, contracts, and subcontractors, maintaining strong relationships with funders and partners
- Driving continuous improvement through robust performance monitoring and evaluation
- Representing Energy Saving Trust to external stakeholders and contributing to new business opportunities and service development
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture within your team
Experience
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and large-scale programmes
- Experience managing high-value contracts and relationships with government or large organisations
- Sound financial management and reporting experience, including oversight of multi-million-pound budgets
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives
