About the Role

We need your drive, knowledge, skills, and creativity to help us raise awareness of the Ramblers and what we stand for, enabling the charity to grow its supporter base and open up the joys and wellbeing benefits of walking to many more people. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Path Protection) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across Great Britain. Key responsibilities include leading on the design, development, and operational delivery of the Path Protection programme, creating operational delivery plans, managing a budget, evaluating and reporting on programme impact, managing strategic partnerships, training and supporting volunteers, and engaging diverse audiences.
Experience
Programme management experience, including responsibility for planning, budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation. Experience providing advice to a variety of stakeholders and managing casework. Experience recruiting and managing partners and volunteers. Experience designing and delivering a training programme. Experience of successfully working with fundraising colleagues to secure funding.
About you
Interest in walking and a commitment to the principles of inclusion. Flexible and resilient with the ability to work under pressure. Able to engage diverse audiences, including community partners and senior decision makers. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
Qualifications
An understanding of rights of way law and practice is desirable.
