About the Role
As a Senior Battery Engineer within EDF Renewables' Delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering solar, battery storage, and private wire projects from planning permission through to construction and operational handover. This delivery-focused engineering role involves coordinating engineering input, supporting procurement, and managing contractor interfaces to ensure projects meet high standards of safety, quality, and value. You will take ownership of key project packages, manage engineering review processes, and track technical deliverables. The role includes conducting site visits, monitoring construction and commissioning activities including FAT and SAT, and coordinating internal commissioning and quality resources. There is also scope to engage in early-stage development and technology evaluation if desired. Experience
- Degree in engineering or related technical discipline
- Project delivery experience in energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors, preferably solar or battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Practical understanding of engineering delivery from design through to commissioning
- Comfortable coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external contractors

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- NEBOSH/IOSH and/or commissioning experience is advantageous but not essential
