About the Role
Wates are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their forward-thinking construction team based in Rugby, working on high-profile, technically challenging projects across multiple sectors. This role requires fresh thinking, sharp commercial instincts, and a drive to make a real impact on the built environment. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will own your work packages, drive commercial performance, and influence the delivery of ambitious projects. Your responsibilities will include developing smart commercial strategies, managing subcontract packages, maximising cashflow through effective cost control and negotiations, supporting procurement strategies, leading tender processes, producing subcontract orders, and working closely with the Commercial Lead to shape final accounts and ensure alignment with best practice.

Experience
Proven experience in quantity surveying within construction, ideally across multiple sectors and complex projects. Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage subcontract packages and cost control effectively.
