About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Ranger to safeguard and enhance the Trust’s natural assets across the Tees Valley. This hands-on role involves leading practical conservation work across our network of nature reserves and land holdings, as well as supporting project-funded initiatives beyond our sites. A key focus will be expanding our volunteer capacity by developing a new volunteer recruitment framework and setting a high standard for volunteer experience and engagement in conservation. The Ranger will coordinate weekly volunteer workdays and collaborate closely with colleagues as part of the conservation team. Reporting to the Conservation Manager, you will deliver an annual programme of habitat management tasks and conservation projects. This role requires building strong relationships with local authorities, conservation groups, and partner organisations to identify opportunities for joint working and resource-sharing. While primarily focused on woodland sites including Hardwick Dene, Lazenby Bank, and Saltburn Gill, you will also support the wider conservation team across the estate as needed.
