About the Role
The Forest of Marston Vale Trust is a charity dedicated to creating the Forest of Marston Vale between Bedford and Milton Keynes. Since the early 1990s, over 2 million trees have been planted, increasing tree cover from 3% to 16.9%, with a goal of reaching 30% coverage across the 61 square mile Forest area. We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and passionate individual to join our Ranger team. The successful candidate will carry out effective site management and enhancement of the Trust’s estate of woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands, while actively engaging and enthusing visitors to improve the quality of these sites for both people and wildlife. This role includes managing the award-winning Millennium Country Park (225ha), our flagship site with around 450,000 visits per year, as well as the wider estate of community woodlands (400ha) within the Forest of Marston Vale area. The position is permanent and full-time, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to conservation and community engagement in a beautiful setting.
