About the Role
Driving sustainability and service excellence, this key role within the Recycling and Waste team is based at our depot at Warren Lane in Hurst Green. You will help monitor and improve recycling and waste services, ensuring outstanding customer service and high service delivery standards. Your responsibilities will include supporting and assisting with the delivery and monitoring of the Council’s recycling and waste contracts, investigating and resolving service failures and collection or health and safety issues, responding to complaints, and liaising with stakeholders. You will also promote recycling, assist with reviewing waste storage plans for new developments, and support data gathering and analysis to drive service improvements. This role offers the opportunity to engage with residents to promote waste minimisation and encourage behaviour change to help meet waste targets.

Experience
- Experience in waste services is essential.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritise a busy caseload effectively.
- Experience working with contractors and the public.

- Good organisational skills with the ability to analyse data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
