About the Role
Help shape the future of West London’s green spaces! Ealing Council is working with partners to create a new regional park - an ambitious proposal that will create a thriving natural, cultural, and recreational hub for West London. We’re looking for a passionate and dynamic Engagement Officer to lead inclusive and innovative community engagement for the West London Regional Park project. This is a unique opportunity to ensure local voices, especially young people and underrepresented groups, play a central role in shaping a landmark initiative for Ealing.

You’ll be the driving force behind community involvement, ensuring ideas from residents and partners influence the park’s business plan, design, and identity. From co-design workshops to digital engagement campaigns, you’ll create opportunities for people to connect, contribute, and feel proud of this transformative project.

Key responsibilities include delivering wide-reaching, inclusive engagement activities across Ealing, building strong relationships with local groups, schools, and partners, facilitating co-design processes for the park’s trail, hubs, and branding, developing creative digital engagement strategies, producing regular newsletters, and promoting volunteering and community-led initiatives that support sustainability and biodiversity.

This is an exciting time to join Ealing Council and make a positive difference to our residents and borough. We are committed to creating good jobs and delivering on our connected communities’ agenda, with a strong focus on equality, fairness, and inclusion.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in community engagement and co-design, with a track record of working with diverse communities. Experience delivering engagement projects and working with volunteer groups.

About you
Skilled communicator with the ability to build trust and inspire participation. Confident using digital tools and social media to engage audiences. Committed to equality, diversity, inclusion, and environmental sustainability. Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends. Must have the right to work in the UK (evidence will be requested at interview stage).

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience in community development, environmental studies, communications, or a related field.
