About the Role
Scottish Forestry is the Scottish Government agency responsible for regulating forestry activity, policy, and grants. We are seeking a knowledgeable Regulations Manager to lead the delivery of felling and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) regulations, supporting Conservancy offices across Scotland. In this national role, you will provide expert advice, update guidance, support complex cases, and help ensure consistent regulatory delivery aligned with Scotland’s Forest Strategy. You will also contribute to staff training and the development of IT systems that support our regulatory work. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Scotland’s forests through effective regulation and leadership.
Experience
Proven experience with felling and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) regulations. Familiarity with the UK Forestry Standard is essential.
About you
Strong communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Office packages are essential. You should be passionate about forestry regulation and able to work collaboratively across multiple teams and locations. Occasional travel across Scotland is required.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in forestry or land management is required.
