About the Role
Thames21 is an environmental charity working across London and the Thames Basin to deliver high-impact, nature-based solutions addressing the climate and biodiversity crisis by restoring rivers and connecting communities to their local green-blue spaces. We are seeking a Reporting and Finance Officer to support The Roding Rises project, a three-year initiative funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund aimed at revitalising the River Roding.

The successful candidate will work closely with Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises Project Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations for the project. This role requires strong attention to detail and experience in budget management and bookkeeping to guarantee timely funding claims and invoice payments.

Main duties include tracking project costs against budgets, completing funding claims, assisting with reporting to funders, ensuring timely payments, supporting grant scheme administration, and contributing to the development of improved financial tracking and reporting processes across Thames21 teams. The role is integral to the effective financial management and delivery of The Roding Rises project.

Experience
Proven experience in budget management and bookkeeping is essential. Experience working with project finance and funding claims is highly desirable.

Qualifications
