About the Role
Uplift is an impact-oriented research and campaigning organisation dedicated to supporting a rapid and fair transition away from oil and gas in the UK. Our goal is to position the UK as a global first-mover in phasing out oil and gas production in line with climate limits and ensuring a just settlement for the workforce. We are seeking an exceptional candidate to provide research support that will drive forward our strategic policy advocacy during a critical time for the climate movement both in the UK and globally. In this role, you will support our team by ensuring that Uplift’s and its partners’ work is informed by rigorous research, insight, and intelligence to maximise impact. This includes ensuring campaigns are based on the latest data and analysis and conducting research to inform decision-makers, partners, and the broader movement. This is a diverse role at the heart of our work supporting a just transition away from oil and gas extraction. The successful candidate will have exceptional quantitative research skills and a strong interest in climate and energy-related campaigns, alongside a firm commitment to Uplift's mission and core values.
Experience
- Exceptional quantitative research skills
- Experience in conducting data-driven research to support policy or advocacy work preferred
- Interest or background in climate, energy, or environmental campaigns advantageous

Qualifications
- Relevant academic background or equivalent experience in research, policy, environmental studies, or related fields preferred but not mandatory
