Based at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre, CV3 3GW with agile working. Regular travel within the scheme area.

Full Time - 35 hours per week

Grade 2b: £28,239 per annum

About the Role
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust (WWT) is a grassroots organisation managing 67 nature reserves across Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull, working to restore nature and create wilder landscapes by 2030. The Sherbourne Valley Project, the Trust’s largest investment to date, focuses on restoring the city’s river and surrounding greenspaces through iconic river restoration projects that highlight natural, cultural and built heritage.

We are seeking an experienced practical conservationist to work collaboratively with partner organisations, contractors and local communities to deliver transformational enhancements to rivers and associated greenspaces in Coventry. This role involves supporting volunteers and trainees, liaising with WWT staff, external partners, funders and the general public.

Requirements

Experience
Proven practical conservation experience, ideally in river restoration or habitat enhancement projects. Experience working with volunteers, contractors and partner organisations is essential.

About you
Passionate about nature and conservation with strong communication and organisational skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders including the public, volunteers and professionals. Flexible and willing to travel regularly within the project area.

Qualifications
A relevant qualification in ecology, environmental management, conservation or a related discipline is desirable but not essential. A full driving licence is likely required due to travel within the scheme area.
