About the Role
This is an exciting senior opportunity within Mindfully Wired's Science & Policy (SciPol) team, a key differentiator from traditional communications agencies. The SciPol team combines technical expertise and conservation experience with creative communications flair to deliver impactful, nuanced environmental projects. The successful candidate will provide strategic and delivery support to the Head of Science & Policy, lead a portfolio of projects, line-manage staff, and enhance client-handling and business development. You will work on diverse projects ranging from fisheries policy in Europe to global food systems transformation, helping NGOs, government bodies, research initiatives, and businesses tackle urgent environmental challenges. The role demands strong communications skills, the ability to translate complex environmental science and policy into accessible messages, and project leadership. While the majority of clients focus on ocean conservation and sustainable fisheries, experience in terrestrial or broader environmental communications is welcomed. Current strategic focus areas include greener world initiatives, sustainable food systems, and community-driven futures. Responsibilities include communications strategy and delivery, project management, business development, networking, and team development within a dynamic and mission-driven environment.

- Experience working with diverse stakeholders such as academics, policymakers, industry, and environmental sectors.

About you
- Friendly, flexible, highly professional, and an adept multi-tasker.
- Impeccable organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Creative and solutions-driven with confidence to innovate and overcome challenges.
- Strong team player, open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Proactive in seeking support and guidance when needed.
- Demonstrable interest in environment and sustainability.
