About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, practical individual to join the Trust’s growing Marine & Coastal Recovery Team. As the Seagrass Recovery Officer, you will play a key role in delivering the Trust’s intertidal seagrass active restoration work in partnership with Project Seagrass. This role involves expanding our established experimental active seagrass restoration approach as part of the Transforming the Thames project, a multi-habitat coastal restoration initiative. The aim is to restore Nanozostera noltii (dwarf eelgrass) across 2 hectares at two locations over a three-year period. This fixed-term, 36-month contract starting January 2026 offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the partnership’s impact and to the development of the evidence base for future seagrass restoration in the Greater Thames Estuary. A valid full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required for this role.
