As a Senior Associate Sustainability Consultant, you will play a pivotal leadership role within our growing Sustainability team, shaping the future of sustainable development across the UK and internationally. This role focuses on business development (50%), team leadership (30%), and process improvement (20%). You will lead client engagements on net zero pathways, decarbonisation strategies, carbon and climate risk, nature-based solutions, and ESG certifications.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence service direction, mentor emerging talent, and build long-term client relationships in a fast-evolving market. You will be responsible for delivering high-impact sustainability strategies and driving commercial growth while championing team culture, collaboration, and innovation.
Key duties include leading complex sustainability projects such as net zero and carbon reduction strategies, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), ESG and climate risk frameworks (e.g., TCFD, SBTi), and environmental certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, WELL). You will advise clients at asset, portfolio, and corporate levels across UK and international estates, drive business development to meet ambitious revenue targets, mentor a multidisciplinary team, provide thought leadership, oversee project delivery, and enhance internal processes.
Experience
Extensive experience in sustainability consulting within the built environment sector.
Proven expertise in private and public sector sustainability strategy consulting.
Strong knowledge of ESG certifications including BREEAM, LEED, and WELL.
Expertise in carbon accounting, net zero and decarbonisation strategies aligned with GHG Protocol and SBTi, including carbon scenario modelling and climate risk scenarios.
Experience with nature-based solutions and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) frameworks.
Familiarity with climate risk and resilience frameworks such as TCFD.
Demonstrated commercial acumen with a successful track record in winning and growing client accounts.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience managing teams, budgets, and complex project portfolios.
Familiarity with data platforms and sustainability analytics tools.

Qualifications
Degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
Chartered or professional accreditation preferred (e.g., IEMA, RICS, CEnv).
