We are seeking a strategic Senior Associate Sustainability Consultant with deep expertise in environmental accreditations, carbon strategies, and nature-based solutions to join our growing Sustainability team. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact sustainability projects and drive commercial growth across the UK and internationally.
As a Senior Associate, you will focus on business development (50%), team leadership (30%), and process improvement (20%). You will lead client engagements on net zero pathways, decarbonisation strategies, carbon and climate risk, nature-based solutions, and ESG certifications. This position provides a unique opportunity to influence service direction, mentor emerging talent, and build long-term client relationships in a fast-evolving market.

Experience
- Extensive experience in sustainability consulting within the built environment sector
- Proven expertise in private and public sector sustainability strategy consulting
- Strong knowledge of ESG certifications including BREEAM, LEED, and WELL
- Skilled in carbon accounting, net zero strategies, and decarbonisation approaches (GHG Protocol, SBTi)
- Experience with net zero trajectories, carbon scenario modelling, and climate risk scenarios
- Familiarity with nature-based solutions and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) frameworks
- Understanding of climate risk and resilience frameworks such as TCFD
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with a track record of winning and growing client accounts
- Experience managing teams, budgets, and complex project portfolios
- Proficient in data platforms and sustainability analytics tools

Qualifications
- Degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or related field
- Chartered or professional accreditation preferred (e.g., IEMA, RICS, CEnv)
