We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Built Environment Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy Transition & Sustainability (ET&S) team within Consulting. You will act as a team leader, overseeing the production of technically sound deliverables including designs, calculations, drawings, reports, and documentation for projects within the Built Environment Mechanical Engineering portfolio. Projects may be single or multidiscipline.
Key responsibilities include leading a team to produce engineering solutions compliant with technical standards and client requirements, preparing and checking designs and documentation, supervising junior staff, managing project budgets and costs, liaising with clients and suppliers, contributing to bids and business development, fostering a quality culture, and assuming people management duties when required. The role may involve site work on a visiting or temporary full-time basis.
Experience
Developed experience and expertise in Built Environment Mechanical Engineering, typically gained in an engineering role or equivalent. Proven ability to work unsupervised and supervise junior staff. Experience managing budgets and commercial aspects of projects. Strong knowledge of relevant software and analytical tools. Substantial experience in hazard and risk management, including acting as Principal Designer on appropriate projects. Demonstrated understanding of interface management on multidiscipline projects.
