Our Environment Advisory Group has been providing environmental solutions for over 30 years in the UK. We offer a comprehensive range of environmental services to support all sizes and types of development. Projects include high profile infrastructure such as Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farms and Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station, alongside carbon management, climate resilience, habitat enhancement and biodiversity net gain initiatives.
We specialise in geo environmental support for complex infrastructure developments and operations, successfully delivering sustainable projects across energy, industry, restoration, residential and port redevelopment sectors. Due to continued growth in various markets including onshore redevelopment, we are expanding our team.
As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for producing detailed geo environmental assessment reports focusing on human health and controlled waters. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality technical advice and solutions that meet regulatory and project requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience delivering and writing geo environmental desk-based studies (preliminary environmental risk assessments) and quantitative risk assessments to a high standard.
- Thorough working knowledge of the Thomas Telford Specification for Ground Investigation versions 2 and 3 (the Yellow Book).
- Experience supervising and managing ground investigations including soil and rock logging, gas and groundwater sampling and monitoring in contaminated land.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory and legal requirements related to contaminated land.
- Experience navigating the planning process in relation to contaminated land.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

You are enthusiastic, optimistic, conscientious and talented with excellent communication skills and technical ability. You are dependable, proactive, self-motivated, flexible, adaptive and innovative.
You hold a full, preferably clean, driving licence and are comfortable working across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- Degree in geology, engineering geology or a relevant environmental science discipline is required.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
- Membership of an appropriate professional organisation with aspirations to achieve professional qualifications is preferred.
