About the Role

As a Senior HSE Design Engineer, you will be a key member of the HSED team responsible for HSE design activities across a range of projects. Your responsibilities will include developing the scope, budget, and schedule for Design HSE activities in line with contract requirements; coordinating and progressing these activities; developing, checking, and approving discipline deliverables and studies; managing project changes and providing cost estimates; preparing progress and status reports; and participating in engineering coordination and progress review meetings. You will liaise with other disciplines and clients, develop and analyze HSE solutions, provide technical input for bid evaluations, review vendor and subcontractor data, and participate in HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings to provide HSE input.

Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Process Engineering, or other industrial settings.
- Proven experience leading projects as a technical or project lead.
- Participation in Safety, Environmental, and Operability reviews such as HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, SIL.
- Experience with fire and gas detector layout deliverables, hazardous area classification, and fire-fighting systems.
- Knowledge of Quantitative Risk Assessment, Emergency Response Plans, and safety-related P&ID development.

About You
- Degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Design HSE standards, regulations, and industry codes (API, NFPA, IP, etc).
- Good computer literacy, especially in MS Office.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant certifications or training in HSE design and risk assessment are advantageous.
