About the Role
Lead with purpose and power progress with data at IHG Hotels & Resorts. As Senior Manager, Sustainability Performance & Insights, you will join our Global Corporate Responsibility team to transform complex sustainability and ESG data into clear insights, compelling stories, and smart strategies that drive meaningful progress for our people, guests, and planet. You will oversee the measurement and management of IHG's global carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, ensuring methodologies are robust, transparent, and aligned with leading standards such as the GHG Protocol, CDP, SBTi, and evolving regulations including CSRD.

In this role, you will manage and evolve global sustainability data platforms, handling large, complex datasets and developing intuitive dashboards that provide actionable insights for regions, functions, and leaders. You will leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to advance ESG analytics, forecasting, and performance reporting, exploring machine learning and data science applications to forecast trends related to energy consumption, carbon emissions, climate risk, and weather impacts.

You will create engaging, insight-led reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, including the Executive Committee, Finance, and regional CR teams, enabling data-driven decisions that create lasting impact. Additionally, you will safeguard the accuracy, traceability, and consistency of global ESG data, ensuring disclosures and metrics align with leading sustainability standards and investor expectations. Collaboration across regions and functions will be key to connecting insights to action and fostering a shared understanding of IHG’s sustainability journey.

Experience
- Strong experience in sustainability or ESG data analytics, carbon accounting, and reporting
- Familiarity with key frameworks such as GHG Protocol, CDP, CSRD, and TCFD
- Proven ability to design and manage sustainability data systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms)
- Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python to manage, interrogate, and validate large datasets
- Interest or experience in data science and machine learning applications for sustainability (e.g., forecasting energy use, modelling emissions, integrating climate and weather data)
- Experience producing clear, insight-driven reports and presentations for senior audiences
