To continue sustainable growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our team to support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working within multi-disciplinary teams to secure consent and approvals for major or nationally significant infrastructure projects via the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Planning Act 2008. Experience securing consents through the Planning (Wales) Act 2015, Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, Transport and Works Act Order or the Electricity Act is also of interest. This role offers the opportunity to work on nationally significant projects and contribute to shaping infrastructure that matters.
Experience
Demonstrable experience supporting and taking responsibility for town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs etc). Experience providing technical advice to clients and supporting management of their consenting requirements, demonstrating awareness of client expectations and needs. Experience coordinating the preparation and submission of consent applications under the Town and Country Planning Acts, the Planning Act 2008 or other relevant regimes. Experience supporting negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients. Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and supporting or supervising others in their work/project delivery roles. Awareness of project finances and some project management experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.

Qualifications
Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent). Member of, or eligible for, the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Willingness to apply and adapt skills across a range of consenting regimes including Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008, Planning (Wales) Act 2015, Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, Transport and Works Act Order and Electricity Act.
