About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Wind Turbine Technician to join our North East team during a period of growth. Reporting to and working alongside the Lead Technician, you will assist in overseeing the operations of wind farms across the North East England area and support the wider Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. Your responsibilities will include delivering scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services in line with manufacturers' guidelines, managing day-to-day activities, and ensuring the highest level of turbine availability.
You will perform all aspects of fault-finding, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies. This includes completing major and sub-component replacements while working and planning under CDM regulations. You will proactively repair or replace components to prevent failures or downtime, organise and supervise specialist and subcontractor activities onsite, and liaise with EDF remote diagnostic teams to plan work accordingly. Compliance with all health and safety requirements, including the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR), is essential.
