About the Role
Valoris Group Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Electrician to join a well-established renewables installer operating across Harwell and surrounding counties. This site-based role involves working primarily on rooftop solar PV systems, mostly residential with some light commercial projects. You will assist with the safe and compliant installation of solar energy equipment including PV panels, inverters, and battery storage units. Key responsibilities include wiring inverters and battery units, running cable routes, ensuring all electrical work complies with current regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards through clean handovers. You will collaborate closely with the in-house team including Qualified Supervisors and Site Leads, represent the business professionally at client properties, and adhere strictly to health and safety protocols. Experience
- Domestic or commercial electrician with an active qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Familiarity with solar panel systems and battery integration is highly desirable
- Candidates without solar experience but strong electrical foundations will also be considered
- Confident with general power and lighting installation, fault finding, and safe isolation

- Holds a full UK driving licence (essential)
- Competent in using hand and power tools safely and correctly
Qualifications
- Valid domestic or commercial electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred (but not required)
- Prior experience in rooftop PV installations or renewables
- Knowledge of DC cabling and isolator integration
- Familiarity with G98/G99 grid connection requirements
- Experience commissioning solar inverters
