About the Role
Valoris Group Ltd are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician with a keen interest in solar technology to join a well-established renewables installer operating across Chelmsford and bordering counties. This site-based role involves working on rooftop solar PV systems, primarily residential with some small-scale commercial projects. You will assist with the safe and compliant installation of solar energy equipment including PV panels, inverters, and battery storage units. Key responsibilities include wiring inverters and battery units, running cable routes, ensuring all electrical work complies with current regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards for clean handover. You will collaborate closely with the in-house team including Qualified Supervisors and Site Leads, represent the business professionally at client properties, and adhere to health and safety protocols at all times. Experience
Domestic or commercial electrician with an active qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Familiarity with solar panel systems and battery integration is highly desirable but not essential. Candidates with strong electrical foundations but without solar experience will also be considered. Confident with general power and lighting installation, fault finding, and safe isolation.

Motivated and safety-conscious individual with the ability to work on rooftop installations. Professional and reliable with good communication skills to represent the business at client properties. Must hold a full UK driving licence and be competent using hand and power tools safely and correctly.
Qualifications
Active domestic or commercial electrician qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is essential. Prior experience in rooftop PV installations or renewables, knowledge of DC cabling and isolator integration, familiarity with G98/G99 grid connection requirements, and solar inverter commissioning experience are preferred but not required. Right to work in the UK is mandatory.
