Location
Hybrid work from SPA construction site offices across the Anglian Water region (minimum 3 days on site per week) and home. Our office is in Peterborough, with operational hubs across the project area.

About the Role
Join Anglian Water's Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) as a Construction Environmental Manager and contribute to one of the UK's most ambitious water infrastructure projects. You will support the SPA Environmental Manager and Enabling Team in delivering strategic priorities for the SPA project. Your responsibilities include ensuring all relevant consents, licences, and environmental permits are in place for pipeline construction, developing and reviewing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and working collaboratively across SPA to ensure compliance with environmental requirements throughout delivery milestones.
You will provide advice and guidance to delivery teams, manage environmental risks, lead training on environmental risk management, and oversee 1-2 Environmental Advisors. You will also undertake inspections and audits, lead environmental incident investigations, identify best practices and process improvements, and develop training plans to upskill personnel.

About you
You are detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about environmental management. You demonstrate integrity, take ownership and accountability for your work, and are driven to continuously improve. You act with the customer's best interest at heart, communicate clearly and transparently, and operate ethically. You are comfortable leading a small team and collaborating across multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree in an environmental-related subject
- Membership of a relevant professional body
- Full clean UK driving licence
