The Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) will lead environmental, health, and safety compliance and risk reduction for Kindeva's UK operations, managing a team of EHS professionals. This role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UK EHS standards and regulations, providing expert advice and support to operational teams, and ensuring full compliance with all applicable legislation.

Key responsibilities include leading and motivating the UK EHS team, managing communications with regulatory agencies, promoting a positive EHS culture, overseeing ISO14001 and ISO45001 certifications, identifying and controlling significant health and safety risks, and driving both short-term and long-term EHS strategic planning. The role also involves leading investigations into safety and regulatory matters, ensuring timely and effective incident investigations, and collaborating with HR on Occupational Health resources.

This position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external regulators.

Requirements

Experience
- Deep knowledge of UK EHS legislation and risk management systems
- Extensive experience leading EHS in manufacturing and laboratory environments, preferably pharmaceutical
- Proven track record of developing, motivating, and sustaining a team of EHS professionals
- Experience managing EHS priorities under tight deadlines
- Ability to collate and analyse data to drive improvements
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Experience with Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations and compliance
- Experience interacting with regulatory authorities such as HSE and EA, including audits
- Experience in process safety management

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, or EHS from an accredited university
- Minimum ten years of EHS experience in manufacturing and/or R&D environments
- At least three years of experience leading an EHS team in manufacturing and laboratory settings
- NEBOSH diploma
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credentials are a plus

Travel
Approximately 20% domestic and international travel
