About the Role
The Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) will lead environmental, health, and safety compliance and risk reduction efforts for Kindeva Drug Delivery's UK operations. This senior role involves managing a team of EHS professionals, ensuring adherence to UK EHS legislation, and fostering a positive safety culture across manufacturing and laboratory environments. You will be responsible for maintaining key accreditations such as ISO14001 and ISO45001, managing communications with regulatory agencies, and driving both short-term and long-term EHS strategic planning. The role also includes leading investigations into incidents, recommending corrective actions, and collaborating with HR on Occupational Health resources. This position requires a proactive leader capable of influencing cross-functional teams and delivering measurable safety improvements in a dynamic, growing organisation.
Experience
- Extensive knowledge of UK EHS legislation and risk management systems.
- Proven leadership experience managing EHS teams in manufacturing and laboratory settings.
- Strong background in driving safety culture within pharmaceutical or related industries.
- Experience interacting with regulatory authorities such as HSE and EA, including audits.
- Familiarity with Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations and process safety.
- Ability to analyse data and implement effective improvements.
- Skilled in managing multiple EHS priorities under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, or EHS from an accredited university.
- Minimum ten years of EHS experience in manufacturing and/or R&D environments, preferably pharmaceutical.
- At least three years' experience leading an EHS team.
- NEBOSH diploma required.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is a plus.
Travel
Up to 20% domestic and international travel may be required.
