About the Role
As a Workplace Health & Safety Real Estate Due Diligence & Remediation Manager at Amazon, you will partner with various stakeholders and global teams to support real estate transactions. Your responsibilities include performing transaction-related due diligence, scoping and managing remediation projects, developing Amazon standards and policies, and implementing program requirements. You will assist in managing these programs at the corporate level to ensure risks and liabilities are properly evaluated and mitigated during transactions.
Key responsibilities include providing a single point of contact for transaction teams to support understanding and execution of Amazon's due diligence program; reviewing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, historical reports, regulatory agency assessments, health-risk assessments, and vapor mitigation plans; evaluating exposure risks from building materials and property conditions such as asbestos, lead-based paint, and vapor intrusion; scoping and managing Phase II site investigations; performing Vapor Intrusion Screenings and Health Risk Assessments; drafting mitigation plans for contaminated soil and groundwater during renovations; liaising with Real Estate, Legal, Construction, and Launch teams regarding mitigation and oversight; reviewing contractor, developer, and consultant work; assisting legal teams with drafting protective language related to hazardous materials; and representing Amazon professionally with property owners, consultants, and legal advisors.
You will be expected to prioritize and lead multiple projects concurrently while maintaining effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams.
Experience
- Extensive experience as an environmental technical resource, program specialist, or project manager.
- Knowledge and experience with ASTM Phase I standards and other environmental protocols.
- Experience in development and implementation of standards, policies, and programs.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Experience working in dynamic, growing organizations is preferred.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of core business and legal concepts related to business transactions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory environments and site assessment/investigation programs.
