About the Role
As a Workplace Health & Safety Real Estate Due Diligence & Remediation Manager at Amazon, you will partner with global stakeholders and teams to support real estate transactions. Your responsibilities include performing transaction-related due diligence, scoping and managing remediation projects, developing Amazon standards and policies, and implementing program requirements. You will assist in managing these programs at the corporate level to ensure risks and liabilities are properly evaluated and mitigated during transactions.

Key responsibilities include providing a single point of contact for transaction teams to support understanding and execution of Amazon's due diligence program; reviewing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, historical reports, regulatory agency assessments, health-risk assessments, and vapor mitigation plans; evaluating potential exposure risks from building materials or property conditions such as asbestos, lead-based paint, and vapor intrusion; scoping and managing Phase II site investigations; performing Vapor Intrusion Screenings and Health Risk Assessments; drafting mitigation plans for construction management of contaminated soil and groundwater during renovations; liaising with Real Estate, Legal, Construction, and Launch teams regarding mitigation and ongoing management; reviewing work performed by contractors, developers, and consultants; assisting legal teams with drafting protective language concerning hazardous materials and contamination; and representing Amazon professionally with property owners, consultants, and legal advisors.

You will be expected to prioritize and lead multiple projects concurrently while maintaining effective relationships across diverse teams.

Experience
- Extensive experience as an environmental technical resource, program specialist, or project manager.
- Knowledge and experience with ASTM Phase I standards and other environmental protocols.
- Experience in development and implementation of standards, policies, and programs.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working in dynamic, growing organizations is preferred.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of core business and legal concepts related to business transactions.
- Continued interest in working on real estate transactions and environmental due diligence.
