About the Role
Join Thames Reach as a Support Worker within the ASPIRE team, delivering floating support services to help people sustain their housing. Using a strength-based approach, you will work collaboratively with individuals to identify their support needs and address them directly or through partnership with landlords, government departments, and specialist services. Support can be short term or for the duration of a tenancy, including resettlement support and skills development to enable independent living. Your role will involve assessing risk and needs, providing practical guidance on housing rights, benefits, income maximisation, and access to training and employment opportunities. You will liaise with housing providers and partner agencies to help clients maintain their tenancy and progress towards independence, signposting to specialist services such as drug and alcohol treatment, mental health teams, NHS services, and community groups. You will co-produce person-centred support plans, help clients achieve their goals, manage and reduce risks, and support successful transitions to independent living or alternative accommodation. Thames Reach is committed to making a positive impact on homelessness in London and offers a rewarding environment to develop your skills and career.
